West Coast Swing has roots in Lindy Hop. The character of this fun dance has a distinctive elastic look. The technique involves extending and compressing with your partner, all while dancing in a slotted area on the floor. Pulling patterns and styles from other dances such as Salsa, Cha-Cha, and Swing, the West Coast Swing is the most improvised dance there is!
Group Classes are every Wednesday in December. $10 a class or $15 for both.
Here are our classes:
730pm SOCIAL EASE CLASS We will be exploring various patterns. It will encourage you to go out dancing and use what you learn on a social dance floor with ease.
815pm EXPERIENCED CLASS You will learn proper technique to lead and follow. We teach you how to be a better dance partner and get you away from “tugging and pulling” and introduce you to “inviting and guiding.”
